How to Get More YouTube Views: 2 free methods to get more views on YouTube

There are many services out there that offer free YouTube views if you put a link to their website on your channel. You can also buy YouTube views, however I cannot recommend either of these methods as a means to increase views to YouTube with the aim of selling more of your products or getting you more subscribers (or whatever you do with your website traffic).

This is because these methods do not generate real views by real people. Neither will they get you anywhere as YouTube will detect they are not real. However, if you want to get more views on YouTube that are real, then here are two methods that work well if they are done correctly.

The first method utilizes the tags that you use when putting a video on YouTube. Before uploading your video have a look at the successful videos already up there that are on the same topic as your video. By successful I mean those that have thousands of views per month.

Take a look at the tags of these successful YouTube videos by clicking ‘More Info’ in their descriptions and scrolling down to the tags. Look at which tags they have used and how many. If it isn’t too obvious to others that you are doing it, you can copy their tags to your own video’s tags and maybe change them slightly so they are not exactly the same as the other video’s tags. This way you will get at the top of that videos ‘related videos’ and also you will be targeting the same audience that has proved so successful in getting so many free YouTube views.

The second way to get more YouTube views is to once again find a successful video in your topic area or niche (maybe the same video as used above) but this time you don’t need to look at the tags. Scroll down to see the ‘Video Responses’ under the video. If there are more than 3 video responses already then there is much less of a chance of this working properly. So ideally you want a video that has thousands of views per month but only zero or one response.

What you need to do next is post your video as a video response to this video. Then when people look at the video responses they will see your video and they will click on it. Of course this works much better if your video is the only video response. One thing to mention is that the video response list works in order of time. So if your video is the first video response to that video it will always be at the top of the list.

So when doing video responses try to get in quick if you know that a certain video will get a lot of YouTube views e.g. if the person is already a successful ‘YouTuber’. You could keep up with successful YouTubers by subscribing to their channel. In that way you would get notification the moment a new video is uploaded and so could act immediately to get your video in as the first or second response.
